An exclusive novella featuring Ellie and Adam, much loved characters from On Dublin Street and Down London Road
Ellie Carmichael has been in love with Adam Sutherland for as long as she can remember. What started as a childhood crush on the protective and best friend of her older brother bloomed into full-blown infatuation over the years. Unfortunately, it also meant full-blown heartache, as Adam refused to fall for his mate's little sister.
But it takes a crisis for Adam to realize he's wasted too much time denying his feelings for her. Unwilling to waste a second more, he decided to make Ellie his, no matter what the consequences. Now happily settled with the woman he's pined after for years, he's about to find out what their ten year courtship was like for her, through the journals she kept during their ups and many downs. And though Adam may have Ellie now, he has no idea how close he came to losing her . . .

If you are reading this series this book is a good addition to the series. If not, the book probably wouldn't make a lot of sense. I love the series so I enjoyed this very short read. Most of the action takes place in the same timeframe as book one, On Dublin Street. Of course, the characters are introduced in that one. The reader knows that Adam and Ellie are wanting each other throughout that book even though they aren't the main characters. With this book, we learn all the events that we were not privy to while reading book one.
Told by the use of diaries, at times you stop and realize the entries sure don't sound like a diary, but you know what? It didn't even matter. It was just a device to tell us the story and it totally worked for me. Also, at times you want to grab both of the characters-mainly Adam-and shake them. But as usually happens in fiction, true love doesn't run smooth. We just have to get past that to get to the HEA. If there is no struggle or strife than there wouldn't be a story!
In the end, I finished reading with a smile on my face. I can't ask for much more than that in a romance. Recommended!

Until Fountain Bridge On Dublin Street edition by Samantha Young Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Ellie and Adam feature in the book on Dublin Street. This is their own story. Ellie has moved in with Adam and it begins with Ellie looking for her journals. Adam joins Ellie and she openly shares the feelings and thoughts that she had written in her journals about Adam, from quite a young age. Ellie's love for Adam grew from her early teen years and developed as she grew into a beautiful young woman.
I felt an element of sadness for Adam as he reads the angst that Ellie went through and this must have made Adam feel rather guilty. The story is short and sweet. My one disappointment is that I wish there had been so much more and that maybe we could have been privy to Adam's view of events. I really recommend that if you have not read Samantha Young's books - you should do so - you won't be disappointed. However, be prepared to go on an emotional trip but one that will have you smiling at the end. If you have not read Down London Road (my personal favourite) or On Dublin Street which is equally as good, I would highly recommend them.
About my reviews
I am by no means a book scholar; I read for entertainment purposes only. I couldn't care less about grammar and spelling as long as I can follow the story (I’m still a novice when it comes to the English language and I am 30+ years old and English is my first and only language…I’m a 0’s and 1’s kinda girl). With that being said, I do appreciate those who have the gift of bringing good characters and stories to life via written words evoking all my “girlie” emotions. For the most part I’m a sucker for likable characters, good chemistry, angst, heartbreak, and happy endings. I judge books by how I feel while reading them and I am always looking for my next “5 star book” high!
I wanted to share my opinions on the books I’ve read recently because ratings can be misleading at times; however, I don’t want to spend too much time on reviewing a book when I could be reading the next “5 star book” (hence this template). You will not get any spoiler alerts or harsh critiques from my reviews…nope, you will simply get a star rating based on the following
5 stars – I could read this book over and over again…everyone should read this book!!!
4 stars – I could read this book more than once!
3 stars – Okay book…one read was enough
2 stars – I just about got through this book
1 star – I could not finish this book
Hopefully this will help you identify some good reads and avoid some not-so-good ones!
So this short little sweet thing was like a walk down memory lane..for our characters. Ellie and Adam relieve the highlights of Ellie's memories of their past together. From her early teen crush to her anger and bitterness with him...we get a taste of their history.
While the flashbacks were informative, the present day commentary was what kept me fully focused. I liked hearing Adam's take on her flashbacks. These were my favorite parts as well. I liked the fully aware of his feelings Adam that we came to know, as it was somewhat painful to see how things went for her when she was such an impressionable teen....his overstepping his brotherly duties were wearing on me, so I could only imagine being in that situation for reals. It would suck. Thank God we knew already how this love story turned out!
We also got a little taste of some of the other characters in this series..and what everyone was up to, which is always gratifying. It is. I really love Braden and Joss...because On Dublin Street will always hold a special place in my heart. <3
This novella is short on angst and long on backstory and a nice addition to the series. Righto, Shel. Though, it took me a bit to warm up to the idea, I am glad to have read it and am looking forward to the soon to be coming out installments!
